Traffic Blender: North Harborview Traffic Being Re-Routed Onto Austin Street

You might have noticed it already.

Traffic is now being rerouted on a stretch of North Harborview Drive onto Austin Street.

Austin Street has re-opened, but North Harborview Dr between Austin and Harborview Drive is closed, according to the City of Gig Harbor.

Two-way vehicular traffic is being re-routed onto Austin Street. A pedestrian detour has been set-up until early next week, and then pedestrians will be re-routed around Donkey Creek Park and along Austin Street. Due to the traffic reconfiguration, the city has installed several new stop signs and relocated previous stop signs.

It's all part of the City of Gig Harbor's Donkey Creek Restoration and Transportation Improvements Project. The city says will maintain access to all businesses and residences at all times.
