To start things on a fun note, I've included an update from the Peninsula School District about the Swift water Elementary ribbon cutting ceremony.
In more serious news, you may remember late last week a young Gig Harbor man turned himself in for a Kitsap County murder. Now, police say they are looking for an additional suspect in that crime, I've added a KING 5 update on that to the digest below.

I've also included a pair of stories I wrote Tuesday about embattled Pierce County Sheriff Ed Troyer. In the first, the delivery driver who he followed and called the police on has filed a multimillion dollar lawsuit against Pierce County. In the second, the Pierce County Council's investigation has released its results into Troyer's conduct, and found him guilty of violating four Pierce County Sheriff's Department policies.
