Warming Center Open In Gig Harbor During Storm
The warming center at Chapel Hill Church will open daily through Saturday from 12 to 10 p.m.
GIG HARBOR, WA - A warming center is open at Gig Harbor's Chapel Hill Church for folks who need to get out of the cold and warm up between noon and 10 p.m. during the forthcoming storm.
The church, located at 7700 Skansie Ave., asks warming center guests to enter the facility through Door D, where they'll have coffee available as well through Saturday, Feb. 9.
Temperatures in Gig Harbor will remain in the low 30s during the height of the forthcoming storm, which forecasters currently predict will bring upward of 5 inches of new accumulation by Sunday. Overnight lows during the storm will drop into the mid to low 20s.
