Wednesday: Pavement Work on Tacoma Narrows Bridge Postponed
The pavement work is still scheduled from 9 p.m. Thursday, June 13, through 5 a.m. Friday, June 14.
Pavement repair work scheduled Wednesday night through Thursday morning on the eastbound State Route 16 Tacoma Narrows Bridge has been canceled due to a wet weather forecast, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The pavement work is still scheduled from 9 p.m. Thursday, June 13, through 5 a.m. Friday, June 14. During that time, crews will reduce eastbound SR 16 to one lane across the bridge to patch pavement.
The repairs fall under the Tacoma Narrows Bridge pavement warranty and will be performed by design-builder Tacoma Narrows Constructors.
Wednesday's work will be rescheduled for a dry night.
