• Roads closed due to WA storm, high winds, downed trees (columbian.com) — Highway 101 near Hoodsport is closed until further notice after a mudslide, and there are currently no alternate routes, meaning travel in and out of town is heavily disrupted. The closure follows a powerful Western Washington storm that also shut down White Pass and Stevens Pass, with state officials still assessing damage and next steps.
   

• Death notices for Dec. 17 (theolympian.com) — Hoodsport residents are being notified of the passing of Robert Mischell, 84, who died at home on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025.
