4-2's Raider Ready Reserve Holds Spring Break Boot Camp (PHOTOS)
The event allowed children of 4th Brigade, 2nd Infantry soldiers to look inside vehicles and get in some Army-style physical activity, just like their parents. It's all part of the "Month of the Military Child."
Being the child of a memberof the military isn't easy.
There's the moving around. There are the deployments. There are those things someone who's not associated with the military can't even fathom.
Nationwide, the military is honoring those children with what it has dubbed the "Month of the Military Child."

And on Friday, the Raider Ready Reserve element of 4th Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division gave their military children a chance to experience what mom or dad does for a living during the first 4-2 Spring Break Boot Camp.
Despite damp conditions at Holiday Park, dozens of children (and their parents) eagerly toured inside vehicles, performed calisthenics and even got to simulate what it's like to toss a grenade or carry somone on their backs.

The 4-2 Stryker Brigade Combate Team is currently on deployment in Afghanistan.
Ramon Cruz, a soldier from Lacey, took his wife and two sons to experience the event.
"It's really cool," he said. "They love it."
