First Responders Urge Caution After Deadly Motorcycle Crash
A motorcyclist was killed in a collision Tuesday night on Lakewood Drive. Now, firefighters are hoping to prevent similar tragedies.

LAKEWOOD, WA — A recent deadly motorcycle crash has first responders urging drivers to use extra caution while on the roads this summer.
The Pierce County Sheriff's Department says that its deputies were called to a crash in the 6800 block of Lakewood Dr W, just before 8 p.m. Tuesday evening.
Callers told the Sheriff's Department there had been a collision between a motorcycle and car, and that the motorcyclist appeared to be severely injured. Unfortunately, the 46-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead shortly after first responders arrived. Traffic investigators say they do not believe alcohol or drug use was a factor in this crash, but the investigation is ongoing.
