• State trooper injured in head-on collision in Lakewood, WA (q13fox.com) — A Washington State Patrol sergeant suffered minor injuries Wednesday morning when a texting driver’s pickup reportedly crossed the center line and hit his cruiser head-on in Lakewood. First responders freed the trapped trooper and took him to the hospital, while the other driver was unhurt and potential charges are still under review. 
• 1 dead, 1 hospitalized after house fire in Lakewood, WA (fox13seattle.com) — A deadly house fire in Lakewood Wednesday night left one person dead and another hospitalized after firefighters pulled both victims from a home near 115th Street Southwest and Military Road Southwest. Crews performed lifesaving measures at the scene, and investigators are still working to determine what caused the blaze and the surviving victim’s condition.
