• Police call off alert for two missing children in Western Washington (kiro7.com) — Lakewood police have cancelled an alert after calling off the search for two children who were believed taken by their biological mother during a visit. The kids, who had been living in Mississippi, were last thought to be in Renton with their mother, who has an outstanding California warrant. Authorities have not explained why the alert was withdrawn.
