South Sound Residents React to ‘Boom’ Noises on Twitter, Facebook
While military personnel on Joint Base Lewis-McChord conducted its scheduled day and night training, local residents near the base sounded off on Twitter.

In the past few days, most of us in the South Sound have been hearing the big “boom” or “rumbling” noises—some even felt their homes shake—as military personnel on Joint Base Lewis-McChord conduct a series of firing exercises using giant weapons like M777 Howitzer, Demolitions and C-4.
The firing is scheduled from early morning to midnight and is expected to continue through Friday.
In the meantime, local residents (as far as those in Gig Harbor and Bonney Lake) took to Twitter and Facebook to share their commentary.
