Mercer Island Team is Top Fund Raiser in Seattle Area
Covenant Living at the Shores Team Raises Money in the Fight Against Cancer

MERCER ISLAND, Wash.: A group from Covenant Living at the Shores, a senior living community in Mercer Island, is doing their part in the battle against breast cancer, raising awareness, and funds during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The group, along with organizer and Covenant Living employee Roxanne Stickney, was recently recognized as the top fundraising team at Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Seattle held on October 19 at Gas Works Park in Seattle.
The team, along with Stickney, raised more than $9,400 that will help the American Cancer Society fund breast cancer research along with other outreach programs for those battling the disease.
“Being a survivor of breast cancer, I know how important it is to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society,” said Roxanne Stickney. “We are thankful for those who contributed to our team fund raising effort and know that we’re ultimately helping to make a difference for everyone.”
