UPDATE: Missing Elderly Puyallup Man Found Safe

David L. Dildine of Puyallup was found safe Friday afternoon. The 71-year-old man was missing since late Thursday morning.

David Dildine was located in the 500 block of 4thΒ Street Northwest at 6:16 p.m. on Friday.

The Puyallup Police Department received a call from a citizen who recognized him from a Facebook entry made on the department’s Facebook page.Β

The caller had also been alerted about the missing subject from a reverse 911 call that was put out by the City ofΒ PuyallupΒ dispatch center earlier Friday afternoon.

Dildine was in good condition and did not need any medical attention.

The King County Sheriff’s Department Air Support Unit and the Washington State Patrol Aviation Section will be assisting in the search for David Dildine.

The area near Dildine’s home is heavily wooded, and an air search will greatly assist search units on the ground.

In addition, the Central Pierce Fire Department will be conducting a water search at Clark’s Creek.Β 

In an effort to get information out to the community a reverse 911 call is planned to citizens living in the area providing them with information and a description of Dildine.

Anyone with information about David Dildine is asked to contact 911.

The Puyallup Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating a missing 71-year-old male.Β 

David L. Dildine was last seen at his residence in the 900 block of 15thΒ Avenue Southwest in the City of Puyallup on April 4Β around 11:15 a.m.

All of his vehicles, medication, identification and credit cards were left at the residence.Β 

Dildine is described as a white male adult, 5’11”, 200 lbs., with hazel eyes. Police believe he is wearing grey jeans and brown leather slip-on shoes.

Officials do not suspect any foul play at this time.

Pierce County Search and Rescue has been activated and is responding to the location.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of David Dildine should contact 911.
