Halfway House Regulations to be Discussed at Wednesday's Planning Commission Meeting

Halfway houses in Puyallup will be discussed at the upcoming Planning Commission meeting on Weds., Dec. 5 at 7 p.m.

Unlike prior meetings, however, there will be no time for public comment. See the full agenda here.

According to the Planning Commission agenda, staff from the City Attorney’s office will provide the Planning Commission a brief status update on “halfway house” regulations, including a review of applicable state laws and possible city code approaches.

The City Council-approved moratorium on new “halfway house” uses remains in effect, during which time potential new local regulations to address this issue are being researched.
