News Tribune Will Layoff 67 People Next Year
The Tacoma News Tribune said it would layoff 67 positions from the company's printing operations in February 2019.

TACOMA, WA β The Tacoma News Tribune will reportedly layoff 67 people from its printing operations in February 2019, according to a Nov. 29 submission to the Washington State Employment Security Department.
As reported by The Seattle Times, the layoffs beginning Feb. 3 will affect 26 full-time positions and 41 part-time positions. The layoffs reportedly may extend through September 2019.
News Tribune Publisher David Zeeck reportedly told The Seattle Times that employees affected by the decision will receive severance payments and assistance finding new jobs, as well as company-subsidized health care for a period of time.
