The cause is under investigation (thenewstribune.com) — Emergency crews responded to two house fires Wednesday morning, including one in Puyallup’s 1800 block of Tartan Court that started from a generator under an outdoor wooden structure; fortunately, no one was hurt there. Earlier, a separate manufactured-home fire in Spanaway killed an older woman, and investigators are still working to determine that blaze’s cause.

Puyallup man killed in single-car crash on SR 512 in Pierce County, troopers say (thenewstribune.com) — A 29-year-old Puyallup man died Tuesday night after losing control of his car on westbound SR 512 near Pacific Avenue in Parkland, according to Washington State Patrol.
