• Seattle's Bull Launches ‘Tanner & Friends' (ramp247.com) — A Puyallup-born radio host, Tanner Chambers, is returning to the region to launch the new “Tanner & Friends” morning show on Seattle’s 98.9 The Bull. Station leaders say his Pacific Northwest roots and conversational style are meant to create a more local, relatable feel for listeners across the area.
   

• High school football: WSFCA 2025 all-state football teams in Washington (thenewstribune.com) — Several Puyallup High School football standouts have been named to the 2025 WSFCA all-state teams, highlighting local talent on both offense and defense. Lineman Gecova Doyal, running back Briytan Bailey, receiver Lawson Looker, linebacker Michael Pulalasi, and defensive back Jasiah Denmark all earned statewide recognition among Washington’s top Class 4A players.
   

• Sheriffs and National Leaders Warn Washington State Actions Threaten Elected Law Enforcement – [your]NEWS (yournews.com) — Puyallup will host a high-profile press conference and rally on Jan. 9 where national law-enforcement advocacy groups and speakers, including retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, will argue that Washington State is threatening the power to elect sheriffs. Both events at Experience Church are open to the public and center on defending local control of law enforcement offices.
