Puyallup Man Pleads Guilty To Idaho Murder

Jacob Coleman, 21, was only 19 years old when he stabbed to death 22-year-old Spokane taxi driver Gagandeep Singh in Kootenai, Idaho.

SANDPOINT, ID β€” The Puyallup man who in 2017 stabbed to death a Spokane taxi driver in Kootenai, Idaho, reportedly pleaded guilty to first degree murder last week.

According to the Bonner County Daily Bee, prosecutors who originally sought the death penalty changed course when Jacob Corban Coleman, 21, officially agreed to the guilty plea on Nov. 9. Coleman was being tried for the murder of 22-year-old Gagandeep Singh.

Singh reportedly picked up Coleman at Spokane International Airport and drove him toward a fake address in Idaho. Only 19 at the time, Coleman apparently grew hostile and expressed homicidal thoughts during the trip, during which he also bought a knife when he asked Singh to stop at a store along the way, officials said.
