Puyallup Police Blotter: Nov. 7 And 8

Lots of action at Walmart and Smart Stop Self Storage, a couple vehicle break-ins, and a repeat offender at Victoria's Secret.

PUYALLUP, WA β€” The Puyallup Police Department on Friday shared on Facebook its police blotter from Wednesday and Thursday this week. Notable entries include multiple storage unit burglaries, an unsanitary gross-out scenario at Walmart, and teenage delinquency.

This blotter covers entries made Nov. 7 and 8.

Shoplifting and Making a False Statement

310 31st Ave. SE β€” Walmart

A 24-year-old female was caught shoplifting. The female, who obviously doesn’t follow the PPD Blotter and know we are very good at β€œLiar, Liar Pants on Fire”, provided a false name. Her identity was quickly established, and she was booked.

Indecent Exposure and Malicious Mischief

310 31st Ave. SE β€” Walmart

A 27-year-old female was caught on camera pleasuring himself. Once finished he decided to contaminate multiple pieces of merchandise. He was booked.

Theft

1900-block of Brookmonte Drive Southeast

On Nov. 5, between 2 and 3 p.m., a UPS package was stolen in front of this address. No suspect information.

Domestic Violence Assault

100-block of 12th Street Southwest

Family members were attempting to remove a male from the house due to his drug issues. The male (who also had a DUI warrant) assaulted his nephew and his brother during the process. The male fled from the residence prior to our arrival. The male was later located and booked.

Vehicle Prowl

1100-block of 27th Street Place Northwest

Occurred sometime last night between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. Unknown suspects entered the victim’s unlocked 2017 Dodge pickup and stole his laptop. No prints or video.

Possession of Marijuana involving two minors

1700-block of 21st Street Southeast

Two teenagers were (in a) vehicle parked on the street, rolling marijuana blunts. They were called in as a suspicious vehicle. Thirteen grams of marijuana was recovered sitting in-between the two when contacted. Report to Remann Hall and released to parents.

Planet Fitness

The victim vehicle was entered through the passenger window that was broken. Occurred between 10:30 and 11:35 p.m. Stolen was a purse, iPhone and shoes.

1100-block of 27th Street Place Northwest

The victim provided the serial number for the stolen Microsoft Surface Pro4. The laptop was entered into WACIC/NCIC.

Storage Unit Burglary

1401 N. Meridian Ave. β€” Smart Stop Self Storage

The victim reported a burglary to his storage unit with multiple items taken. The theft occurred between 6 p.m. Nov. 6 and 9:30 a.m. Nov. 7. No suspect information or surveillance video available.

Storage Unit Burglary

A second victim reported a burglary to his unit. Theft inventory being completed for numerous collectables stolen.

Theft/Shoplift

3500 S. Meridian Ave. β€” Victoria Secret

The suspect, (5-foot-7, 160 pounds), grabbed several items from the β€œPink” side of the store and left. The suspect is a repeat offender, per the employee.

Criminal Trespassing

324 S. Meridian Ave. β€” Puyallup Public Library

A 25-year-old male was found in the library after previously being trespassed. He was booked.

No Contact Oder Violation

2110-block of 28th Avenue Court Southwest

A 36-year-old male violated a domestic violence no contact order (NCO) by texting the petitioner. He has two prior NCO convictions. He was not located, and case sent to Pierce County Prosecutor.

Vehicle Recovery/Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent

500-block of Fifth Avenue Southwest

An officer with an ALPR (license plate reader) passed by a vehicle. The ALPR alerted on the vehicle indicating that it was stolen. While turning around, the driver, a 27-year-old male, took off at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle eventually stopped, and the driver and passenger were detained. The plates were confirmed stolen from one case and the vehicle confirmed stolen in another. Consent was granted to search the vehicle.
The male driver was charged with Possessing a Stolen Vehicle and other charges. The female passenger was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute and other narcotics related offenses.
