Serious Semi Vs Car Crash In Puyallup: Police

The crash reportedly occurred near the South Hill Mall Target just after 5 a.m. Wednesday. South Meridian was closed for roughly 2 hours.

PUYALLUP, WA - A collision crash involving a semi-truck and car in Puyallup early Wednesday forced an hours-long closure of South Meridian at 31st Avenue Southeast while Puyallup police investigated. The crash was cleared and the roadway was completely reopened around 7:15 a.m.

Puyallup police first announced the crash and closure on Twitter just after 5:15 a.m. Jan. 9. The location of the crash β€” in front of the South Hill Mall Target β€” reportedly affected traffic attempting to enter SR-512 for the morning commute.

When the driver of the car arrived at hospital, emergency staff found the injuries sustained were not as serious as first thought, according to Puyallup police.
