While some cars were just burgled numerous others were taken altogether. Police also found a few previously stolen cars in this police log.

Vehicle Recovery

Safeway - 611 S. Meridian

Police reportedly learned a stolen U-Haul truck, a 2007 Ford E-450, taken from Auburn was towed from the Safeway parking lot and impounded by Herb's Towing.

Burglary

1600 12th St. SW

A resident reported the theft of their Honda lawnmower. Their unsecured shed was broken into, they said.

Fraud

Best Buy - 4102 S. Meridian

Police learned a resident's bank account was fraudulently accessed and used to purchase an Apple iPad Pro for $1,044. Best Buy officials will review security video to identify the suspect.

MVTR/Recovery

100 12th St. NW

A man called police to report his gold 1995 Honda Accord was stolen from his mom's house. However, police learned the vehicle was impounded by Auburn Valley Towing prior to the man filing his police report.

Assault

Applebees

A 23-year-old man who was apparently holding his 2-year-old daughter punched another diner at Applebees in the back of the head, knocking him unconscious. After the punch, the victim's face slammed into the table, breaking dishes and chipping two large pieces from his front teeth.

The suspect then fled the restaurant in a car.

Fraud

1000-block Fourth Avenue Southeast

A Sound Credit Union member reported a fraudulent charge made with his debit card Nov. 25 to purchase motorcycle parts from a business in Iowa. Police have no suspects in this case.

Taking Motor Vehicle without Permission

2700 Olympic Blvd.

The boyfriend of one man's roommate was caught on camera taking the man's car on Dec. 10 at 2 a.m. without the man's permission. The boyfriend apparently returned the car a few hours later.

Vehicle Prowl

700 Fifth St. SE

A man's work truck was burgled overnight when an unknown suspect broke the passenger side window and took a Milwaukee drill. The man was unable to provide a serial number for the drill.

Vehicle Theft and Recovery – Stolen and Recovered

2500 S. Meridian

A resident reported their Acura Integra was stolen between 3 and 8 a.m. from the parking lot of their apartment complex. The resident found the car parked around the corner, unlocked and with a newly damaged steering column.

Fraud

Chevron - 204 Valley Ave. NE

Two people reportedly installed a credit card skimmer at the Chevron convenience store when the clerk was distracted on Dec. 11. The manager spotted the skimmer and gave it to police.

Anyone who recognizes either of these individuals is encouraged to call Puyallup police.

Vehicle Theft

200 18th St. SE

A resident's red 1999 Dodge Dakota was stolen during the night between Dec. 11 and Dec. 12.

Vehicle Recovery

10323 Portland Ave. E

A blue Camaro previously reported stolen was found at this address. Pierce County Sheriff's officials have identified a possible suspect.

A resident reported the theft of their 1996 Honda Accord while it was parked at Sounder Station.

Identity Theft

311 W. Pioneer

A man reported in July that his ID was burgled when his car was broken into. Since the report, someone has opened a checking account in the man's name and overdrawn the fraudulent balance.

Theft from Vehicle, Recovery

3100 Ninth St. SW

A man in his mid-30s was seen pulling into the park and ride in a stolen red Honda. The man was then observed taking the license plate from a 1999 Honda and replacing it with the plate on the stolen red Honda.

A resident reported their 2000 Ford F-250 was stolen in the night.

Multi-care Good Samaritan Parking Garage - 400 15th Ave. SE

A hospital employee told police her 1995 Honda Accord was stolen from the north side of the third level in the new parking garage while she was at work. Hospital security is reviewing surveillance from the garage.

Girard Wood Products - 802 E. Main Ave.

An employee at Girard Wood Products reported his silver 2015 Chrysler was stolen off East Main Avenue while the car was parked near the business entrance. The car locked prior to the theft.

Senior Activity Center - 210 W. Pioneer Ave.

A woman reported the theft of her cell phone while she was getting free, day-old bread from the Senior Center. The woman said she left the phone in plain view on the passenger seat. Her purse, however, was safely hidden underneath a coat the suspect(s) didn't bother checking.

South Hill Cinema - 3500 S. Meridian

A man reported catching a thief in the act of burglarizing tools from his box truck. The suspect, a white man between 20 and 25 years old, jumped into a two-door primer gray and light blue Honda or Acura that hard a broken passenger-side window and a California license plate.

Stillwater Apts - 900 Ninth St. SE

A resident reported their teal 1994 Honda Accord was stolen from the parking lot. The car, along with being teal, can be identified by several "gun-related stickers" on the rear window, police said.

Car vs. Pedestrian Fatal Collision

1500 River Rd.

A 31-year-old woman from Puyallup was killed when she was struck by a car while walking in the 1500-block of River Road. The driver, a 43-year-old man from Sumner, stayed at the scene and later told investigators he was traveling east on River Road when he hit the woman, who was reportedly walking on the south side of the roadway.
