Snow Falls, School Delayed in Puyallup

Puyallup woke up to snow this morning and should expect snow showers to continue before 10 a.m., then a chance of rain and snow showers throughout the day, according to the National Weather Service.

Total daytime snow accumulation today is less than half an inch.

Tonight's forecast calls for rain and snow showers, mainly after 10 p.m. Chance of precipitation is 80 pecent, with little or no snow accumulation expected.

The Puyallup School District is facing a two-hour delay and there will be no a.m. kindergarten, a.m. preschool, elementary band and orchestra, SOS, or a.m. SUMMIT at Sparks YMCA daycare will also run two hours late. There will be no out-of-district transportation. There will be no breakfast, but lunches will be served. Afternoon kindergarten and preschool will run on regular schedule.

Expect buses to be late during severe weather.
