Woman Run Over Twice, Deputies Search For Hit-And-Run Drivers

Deputies are investigating an incident in which two cars ran over and killed a woman in the Frederickson area this week.

FREDERICKSON, WA β€” The Pierce County Sheriff's Department says it is investigating a deadly hit-and-run incident in Frederickson Tuesday, in which multiple vehicles ran over the same woman.

According to deputies, a witness dialed 911 just before 6:30 a.m. Tuesday to report a crash in the 4200 block of 200th St E.

The caller reportedly told 911 dispatchers that they had seen a woman lying in the roadway, injured after an apparent hit-and-run crash, and that a second vehicle had also run over the woman and fled the scene.

By the time deputies arrived on scene, they say the woman had died. Now, officers are hoping to find witnesses to the initial collision, as they work to track down both hit-and-run vehicles.

Roads were briefly closed in the area, but have since been reopened. Deputies have yet to identify the victim.
