Bicyclist Hit and Killed by Vehicle Near Redmond Border
The victim was 35-years-old and reportedly from Bellevue.

A 35-year-old man was killed early Thursday morning after being hit by a vehicle in the Totem Lake area of Kirkland while riding a bicycle, according to the Kirkland Police Department.
In a short news release, the Kirkland Police said the victim, whose name has not been released pending notification of his family, was hit in the 13200 block of NE 124th Street and died at the scene.
The collision occurred at about 2:50 a.m.
Other news sources, including KING 5, reported that the driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Police have closed roads in the area of the collision at Northeast 124th Street and 132nd Avenue NE during the investigation, and that was causing severe traffic back-ups Thursday morning on busy 124th, a major arterial that provides access to Interstate 405 in the Totem Lake area.
Police are asking drivers to find alternative routes, as the investigation cold take several hours.
