Career Website Says Redmond Has the Nation's Happiest Young Professionals
CareerBliss.com says high compensation and abundance of technology jobs make Redmond a very pleasant place to start a career.

Redmond is the No. 1 spot in the nation for happy young professionals, according to a list compiled by CareerBliss.com.
The ranking, which was reported by Forbes, puts Redmond ahead of mega-cities like San Francisco (No. 8) and Chicago (No. 13) when it comes to the level of happiness felt by workers with fewer than 10 years of experience.
Matt Miller, CareerBliss' chief technology officer, told Forbes that Redmond ranked first primarily because of its high compensation rates and abundance of technology jobs at and elsewhere.

“Microsoft’s outstanding benefits ranking, as well as its status as a company its employees would recommend to others, helps elevate its ranking," Miller said to Forbes.
The ranking was devised using employees' evaluation of eight job-satisfaction measures, including compensation, work-life balance and career advancement. Click here to see all the cities that made the top 20.
