• Clark County Emergency Medical Services Council gets $820,480 for road safety (thereflector.com) — Redmond will share $2.06 million in new federal Safe Streets funding with Des Moines and North Bend for speed-reduction tests, safer crossings, and better crash data. The grants are part of $6.58 million going to four Western Washington counties as serious crashes declined in 2025, while state leaders continue pursuing the long-term “Target Zero” safety goal.
   

• UW adds SDSU transfer punter, Husky legacy Hunter Green (seattletimes.com) — A Redmond-raised punter, Hunter Green, is returning closer to home after committing to the University of Washington football team for his final year of eligibility. The Lake Washington High alum and former San Diego State standout will compete for the Huskies’ starting punter and kickoff roles, bringing strong stats and a family legacy with UW that local fans may enjoy following.
