Poll: Flynn Leads Council Candidates in Fundraising
Incumbent mayoral candidate John Marchione has raised the most out of all municipal candidates for this year's election.

has raised the most money out of the six candidates vying for a Redmond City Council seat in next year's election, according to state Public Disclosure Commission records.
Flynn has raised $8,149, while his opponent for seat 5, Joel Wright, has brought in $5,557. Of Flynn's total, $1,000 is from a loan.
In the race for seat 7, incumbent has raised $7,685 and challenger has raised $6,503, $3,067 of which are loans.

Mayor , meanwhile, has raised $26,085—a far greater amount than any other municipal candidate in Redmond. Marchione, who is running unopposed for reelection, said nearly all of his campaign donations came in before the filing deadline, when it was possible he might still draw a challenger.
“I raised the money anticipating an opponent, and I stopped fundraising once the filing deadline passed,” he told Patch in a phone interview on Tuesday.

Marchione, who has spent $8,278 on the campaign so far, said he plans to donate a large chunk of whatever is left in his fund to a local charity after he pays for any outstanding expenses. He said he will likely also keep $4,000 to $5,000 for future campaigns.
Marchione said he took similar action after his 2007 campaign for mayor.
Incumbent council candidates and are also both running unopposed for reelection. Margeson has raised $2,518, while Myers has filed for mini-reporting with the PDC, meaning he may not raise more than $5,000 for the entire campaign and may not take more than $500 from any one contributor.
The election is Tuesday, Nov. 8.
