Redmond Woman Wins $6 Million in State Lottery

Dana Talbert said she has been playing the same numbers since 1986.

A Redmond woman hit the big jackpot by winning $6 million in the state lottery last week.

Dana Talbert, a 66-year-old housekeeper, had played the same numbers—her children's birthdates—since 1986, according to a news release from Washington's Lottery.

"I usually check (the) winning numbers online," Talbert said in the news release. "When I checked at 4:50 this morning in my bedroom, I thought 'No, this can't be.'"
