Sony Films Promotional Video at Hartman Park, Redmond Pool

The promo will be used in stores and could be turned into a commercial.

A video production crew was at Monday evening filming a promotional video for a line of Sony 3D cameras, Marty Bogges of the Redmond parks and recreation department confirmed to Redmond Patch.

Bogges, the department's administrator, said the crew also filmed at the Redmond Pool on Monday night, in addition to a large athletic field at Hartman Park.

The portion of the video promotion filmed at the two Redmond locations features a swimmer and a soccer player and emphasizes the ability of Sony cameras to capture high-quality digital images that show up well on television monitors, Bogges said.

“Essentially it’s all about color, and how those colors are really vibrant on the TV,” he said.

Bogges said Sony plans to show the videos in electronics stores and might turn them into a commercial at some point in the future. Even so, he said it would be tough to recognize the park or the pool in the videos because the shooting was focused on human subjects.

This is not the first-time a commercial or promotional video has been filmed in Redmond. has filmed at , Bogges said, and a financial company once used a Redmond barn to visually demonstrate the value of traditional assets.
