200+ Animals Seized From West Seattle Hoarder Home

Seattle Animal Shelter Director Ann Graves called the home "one of the most severe cases of animal neglect and cruelty" she'd ever seen.

SEATTLE — Officials have seized more than 200 living animals from a home in West Seattle, now the homeowner could face felony charges.

SPD and Seattle Animal Shelter served a warrant at the home Thursday, expecting to find abused animals, but shocked to discover the home contained literally hundreds of dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and chinchillas.

Investigators say they also found "unknown number of deceased animals" inside a second building on the property. They are still sifting through the animal corpses to try and determine the exact number.
