The 2025 Romanian Film Festival brings its theme of "Unifying Stories" to SIFF screens

12th Edition of the Romanian Film Festival Seattle is November 7-19 at SIFF Cinema Uptown

The Romanian Film Festival Seattle is back for its 12th edition, returning November 7–9 to the SIFF Cinema Uptown.

Founded in 2014, the Romanian Film Festival Seattle celebrates the bold, thought-provoking, and internationally acclaimed voices of Romanian cinema. With a mission to connect Romanian filmmakers with Seattle audiences, the festival offers a rare opportunity to experience contemporary Romanian storytelling.

Over the past decade, the festival has become an exciting platform for showcasing award-winning films and hosting in-person appearances by filmmakers and actors. This year's festival, underscoring its theme of "Unifying Stories," will feature projects that explore the complex cultural history between Romania and Moldova, through a variety of documentaries, shorts, and feature films.

For 2025, the festival welcomes the return of Control N, a cultural association based in Romania, as co-organizer alongside ARCS (American Romanian Cultural Society), for a second year of collaboration.
