BASIS Independent Bothell Opens Doors to New Students
New Private School Offers New Education Option for Families
BASIS Independent Bothell, a new private school serving kids ages K-12, opened its door this month. Located at 21540 30th Drive SE in the Canyon Park neighborhood, the 123,000-square-foot campus includes dedicated classrooms for drama, music, visual arts and engineering. Additionally, students have access to state-of-the-art science and technology labs as well as a gym and field for league sports.
"Our mission is to empower students through curiosity, critical thinking, and academic challenge—giving them the tools to thrive in college and beyond," said Robert Runyon, the founding Head of School.
BASIS Independent Schools is a network of private schools with campuses located in Washington, California, Virginia and New York. BASIS Independent Schools regularly boast some of the strongest academic outcomes in the country. In 2025, 17% of graduates were admitted to a top 10 university and 54% to a top 25 university (U.S. News & World Report rankings).
