Evergreen Academy Students Donate Pet Supply Items to Animal Shelter

Students collected pet supplies for local animals in need

Students at Evergreen Academy Montessori schools in Kirkland, Mountlake Terrace and Bellevue recently donated more than 200 pet supply items to PAWS, a local organization that rehabilitates orphaned and injured wildlife, shelters and adopts out homeless cats and dogs, and educates the community to inspire compassionate action for animals. Students at the three schools worked together to collect a variety of pet supply items including food, litter, toys, and more.

Evergreen Academy instills a sense of social responsibility at an early age by implementing opportunities for students to learn about the importance of giving back to their communities and helping others in need. Teachers work with children to help recognize and label emotions in themselves and others, while learning how they fit into their community and the larger world.
