Kid Cudi World Tour To Make Stop In Seattle

The singer and rapper's 27-date "To the Moon 2022 World Tour" includes a show at Climate Pledge Arena. Find out when he will come to town.

SEATTLE, WA —Singer and rapper Kid Cudi announced details of his 27-city "To the Moon 2022 World Tour" on Tuesday, and one of the early stops will be in Seattle.

At 7 p.m. on Aug. 19, Cudi will play Climate Pledge Arena. The concert also will feature Don Toliver, Denzel Curry and Strick. A ticket presale began Tuesday, and tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday.

According to Pitchfork, this will be Cudi's first official concert tour since 2017's "Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin' Tour." Though Cudi has performed live numerous times in recent years.

On June 10, Cudi released his new single "Do What I Want," from his upcoming Netflix animated series "Entergalactic." The series is set to arrive at the same time as an "Entergalactic" studio album in September, according to Variety. His previous album was 2020's "Man on the Moon III: The Chosen."

Cudi, a Cleveland, Ohio native, burst upon the scene in 2008 when he helped craft Kanye West's album "808s & Heartbreak," according to Billboard.

Cudi's debut studio album "Man on the Moon: The End of Day" was released in 2009 and featured the hit "Day 'N' Nite," which reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The "To the Moon" tour begins Aug. 15 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and visits Portland, Oregon, two days later before its third stop in Seattle.

The North American leg of the tour wraps up on Sept. 17 in Cleveland with the "Moon Man's Landing Festival," which will feature Cudi and Playboi Carti, Haim, Toliver Dominick Fike, Pusha T, Jaden 070 Shake and more.

According to a 2018 Billboard article, Cudi has long been considered one of the most influential artists of the past decade.

West said: "Me and Cudi are the originators of the style, kinda like what Alexander McQueen is to fashion, everything else is just Zara and H&M."
