SEATTLE — One Seattle restaurant has been named to the online reservation service OpenTable’s list of the 100 Most Romantic Restaurants In America for 2023.

OpenTable released the list in time for Valentine’s Day celebrations — or, for those who prefer, Galentine’s Day and Palentine’s Day alternate holiday celebrations.

In Washington, just one restaurant made this year's list: longtime Pike Place Market staple The Pink Door. Tucked into Post Alley since 1981, The Pink Door's menu offers a bounty of pasta, risotto and antipasti options, along with fresh oysters and a trio of paninis. Out of more than 7,000 reviews on OpenTable, the restaurant averages 4.9 stars.

One note: If you plan to celebrate at one of the restaurants, make your reservations now. Last year, more than half of the restaurants on the list were booked by Feb. 7, according to OpenTable.

OpenTable analyzed more than 13 million U.S. diner reviews to develop the list, according to a press release. The list includes restaurants from 27 states, with California leading the list with 13 restaurants. Arizona has nine restaurants on the list, and Florida and Hawaii each have eight.
