SPD Blotter: Man Wounded In Ballard Shooting

Police are investigating after a man was wounded in a shooting Tuesday afternoon in Ballard.

Around 4:30 p.m., police received a report of a bloody man limping at the intersection of NW Leary Way and 15 Ave NW. 

Officers arrived and found the man, who had been shot in the hip. Medics transported him to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police learned the victim had been walking to a nearby encampment when he became involved in an altercation with a man on the street. The other man pulled out a gun and shot the victim before fleeing.
