SNOQUALMIE PASS, WA — State transportation officials shared some happy news Friday as they reunited a young boy with his stuffed dinosaur, only a few days after he lost it over Snoqualmie Pass. The Washington State Department of Transportation shared a photo of the missing triceratops on its social media feeds Tuesday morning after a traveler spotted him next to the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 and reached out.

WSDOT asked followers for any leads in tracking down the dino's owner and soon learned of a Facebook post from a Washington mom searching for her son Kameron's familiar-looking pal. A family friend also shared WSDOT's post with the mom, and within a few hours, officials made contact and learned his beloved dinosaur went missing over the weekend as the family crossed Snoqualmie Pass.

On Friday, with camera crews in tow, WSDOT representatives met Kameron and his mom at the Jennings Dinosaur Playground in Marysville, reuniting the inseparable friends at long last.
