Looking for a way to finish the work week strong, or start the weekend early? Here are events in Shoreline and Lake Forest Park on Friday, Aug. 2.
•Are you over 50 and looking for work? Job Club is held every Friday at Shoreline Community College, 1-2:30 p.m. The guest speaker Aug. 2 is SCC human resources professional Andrea Kuo, who will talk about interviewing techniques and strategies. All ages are welcome at this free event. 16101 Greenwood Ave. N., Room 5101, Shoreline.
•Kruckeberg Botanic Garden is hosting these family-friendly activities today: Between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., drop in for Garden Tots—Sassy Squirrels. Kids can learn about what kinds of squirrels we have in Washington, and make a craft to take home. From 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., kids who come to the Container Garden Sale can plant a whimsical 8" container garden to bring home. Cost is $7 for each event. The sale runs Friday-Sunday.
