Monday, Aug. 5
•Lake Forest Park City Council special work session meeting, 6:30 p.m. Agenda includes a proposed ordinance to lower the speed limit from 45 mph to 40 mph on state Route 522/Bothell Way, and an update on the Lyon Creek flood reduction project.
•Shoreline City Council holds a special session at 5:45 to discuss council operations. The regular meeting starts at 7 p.m. Agenda includes discussion of the Aurora Square Community Renewal Area Public-Private Partnership Project.

•I Dig Dinosaurs Concert, Shoreline Library, 7-7:45 p.m. Take a musical journey to explore the lighter side of dinosaurs. From songs about dinosaurs driving cars to the audience-choreographed “Continental Drift” and, of course, digging for bones. A roaring good time is guaranteed!
Tuesday, Aug. 6

•Young Toddler Story Time, Shoreline Library, 10:05-10:35 a.m. Ages 12 to 24 months with adult. Enjoy bouncy rhymes, familiar songs, fun stories and lots of movement with your little one!
•Preschool Story Time, Shoreline Library, 11 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Ages 3 to 6, younger children welcome with adult. Enjoy stories, rhymes, music and movement with other preschool pals. This is a great way to get your child ready to read!
•Noon Concert, Panduo – Steel drums. Richmond Beach Saltwater Park. Free.
•Pizza and Books, Lake Forest Park Library, 4-5 p.m. Ages 12 to 18. What are you reading? Watching? Listening to? Come talk, get and share ideas and eat free pizza!
Wednesday, Aug. 7
•Game On! Shoreline Library, 4-6 p.m. Ages 10 to 18. Play Wii and Xbox360 games at the library. We're turning the meeting room into an arcade complete with Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart and other games. Don't miss out!
•Light Rail Station Area Visioning Open House, 6:30-9 p.m. Hosted by Senior Services and sponsored by the Equity Network, this workshop is geared towards individuals and families on limited incomes to share their ideas about station area planning. There will be a free buffet dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. For more information, click here.
•Impossible Bird –Indie Rock, free concert, 7 p.m., Richmond Beach Library Park.
Thursday, Aug. 8
•Lake Forest Park City Council regular business meeting, 7-9 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 10
•Richmond Beach Saltwater Park volunteer work party, 9 a.m.-noon. Remove invasive plants at the park.
•Shoreline Farmer’s Market, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Shoreline City Hall.
•ShoreDog’s 5th Annual Dog Fest, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Hamlin Park, upper ballfields. Come celebrate with your doggie friends!
•4 Corners Brewfest, 3-7 p.m., Innis Arden Clubhouse, Shoreline.
Sunday, Aug. 11
•Lake Forest Park Farmer’s Market, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Town Center at Lake Forest Park
