More Snow This Week? Forecasts Say It's Possible On Wednesday
Forecasters say that due to La Nina, we should get used to seeing snow in the forecast this winter.

SHORELINE, WA - It might sound like a repeat of last week's forecast, but it's just a coincidence. Starting Monday night, it's going to get very cold, then we'll see some sun, and then around Wednesday or Thursday, we could see some snow in the lowlands around Puget Sound.
The National Weather Service outlook for this week calls for snow beginning late Wednesday and continuing into Thursday.
"The potential for precipitation lifting north into the area late Wednesday into Thursday will result in a threat of lowland snow. The details regarding the evolution of this threat remain unclear at this time, this includes the timing, location, and potential accumulation of lowland snow," the forecast says.

The weather service called for up to 3 inches in places during last week's storm, but we mostly got less. According to the Seattle Weather Blog, SeaTac airport measured exactly 1 inch of snow, which is the most seen since 2014.
However, Puget Sound residents might want to get used to seeing snow in the forecast. The La Nina cools the Pacific Ocean, which draws the jet stream closer to Puget Sound. With it comes cold air, which can turn precipitation that would normally fall as rain into snow.
