Rotary makes Generous Gift to Local Grass-Roots Charity

SAVE THEIR SMILES -- Saving Smiles-Changing Lives

The International Committee of the Lake Forest Park Rotary has made a gift of $1250 to Save Their Smiles to promote dental health for indigenous children in Bismona, Nicaragua. This donation will be used to provide a full year of dental care for 220 children, bi-annual dental brigades to treat dental emergencies, and bi-annual educational outreach to the schools and parents of toddlers.

About Save Their Smiles

Save Their Smiles is a grass-roots Non-Governmental Organization which has been working for the past ten years to improve the health of indigenous children on the Miskito Coast by teaching them how to care for their teeth. Save Their Smiles currently serves 23 villages, and with the addition of Bismona, will be helping over 4500 children lead healthier, more productive lives. Save Their Smiles holds their annual Gala Dinner this Saturday, November 10th at Crystal Lake Lodge, and all are welcome to come dine, dance, and celebrate this past year’s accomplishments.
