Celebrate Shoreline gears up with continued events in this weeklong celebration. Here’s a look at what’s on tap for the weekend.
Friday, Aug. 16: Check out the youth/teen Sk8 Competition at Paramount Skate Park from noon to 5 p.m. There should be plenty of great action to watch. If you want to participate and you’re under 18, be sure to fill out the waiver ahead of time and bring it with you. (Download it at the link above.)
Saturday, Aug. 17: The main Celebrate Shoreline festival runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Cromwell Park. Get ready for entertainment on multiple stages, food, kids activities and a car show.

Sunday, Aug. 18: Bring your inner sculptor with you to Richmond Beach Saltwater Park for the sandcastle building contest. It runs from noon to 3 p.m., with registration starting at 11:30 a.m.Â
