Where Can I Vote in Shoreline, Lake Forest Park?

To vote in Tuesday's primary election, you can drop off your ballot at a drop box, at a mobile van, or have it postmarked.

Voters in Shoreline and Lake Forest Park have several measures on their primary ballot Tuesday, including a County Council race for District 1, two seats on the Ronald Wastewater District, a King County parks levy and the race for King County executive.

Washington votes all by mail. To make sure your vote is counted, you can cast your ballot one of several ways:

•Send it U.S. mail. Make sure it is postmarked Aug. 6 and has the correct postage.

•Drop it off without postage at one of several 24-hour free drop box locations throughout King County, including at Lake Forest Park City Hall, 17425 Ballinger Way N.E. Ballots must be dropped off by 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6.

•Drop it off at a mobile van location, including at Shoreline-Aurora Square Shopping Center, 15505 Westminster Way North, in Shoreline. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 6.

•Accessible voting centers will be open in Bellevue, Seattle and Renton.

As of 8 p.m. Monday, nearly 17 percent of King County’s 1.2 million registered voters had returned their ballots, according to the King County Elections Office. The Secretary of State’s Office predicts voter turnout of 30 percent statewide in the primary, similar to 2011 and 2009.

In County Council District 1, about 16 percent of 146,542 registered voters had returned their ballots. In the Ronald Wastewater District, 15 percent of registered voters in King County had returned their ballots; a portion of the district is in Snohomish County.
