• Marshall County Superindentendent: Special Education Program Under Review After Abuse Allegation (theintelligencer.net) — Moundsville families are being told that Marshall County Schools is reviewing its special education procedures after a McNinch Primary School teacher was accused of abusing a 6-year-old autistic student. At a board meeting in town, the superintendent outlined new training, outside review of the Special Programs department, and closer video oversight, while parents demanded stronger accountability and protections for children.
   

• Moundsville offers free holiday parking to boost business district visits (wtov9.com) — Free holiday parking is now available in downtown Moundsville’s business district, with red-bagged meters allowing two free hours on Jefferson and Lafayette Avenues from Thanksgiving through New Year’s. City leaders hope the move makes it easier for you to shop, explore local stores, and support small businesses without scrambling for change.
   

• High School Roundup: John Marshall Boys Open With Victory (theintelligencer.net) — John Marshall’s boys basketball team opened its season strong in Moundsville, with Jackson Helms dropping 23 points in an 80–51 win over visiting Magnolia at the John Marshall Field House. The roundup also highlights other regional boys and girls basketball results from nearby schools.
