  1. The Parkersburg Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in locating Brian Bradley Wright, who has a warrant for his arrest for felony grand larceny. Wright believed to be unhoused, is wanted in connection with an incident that occurred in April. If anyone sees Wright or has information about his whereabouts, they are urged to call 911 immediately. (WTAP)
  2. Carty Ramsay, a swimmer from Parkersburg High School, has committed to continuing his athletic career at Fairmont State University. Ramsay achieved impressive results during his time at PHS, qualifying for the state meet in all four of his high school years. He will be studying cybersecurity at Fairmont State, having decided to pursue a career in that field after personal experience. Ramsay is excited about the opportunity and is determined to improve his swimming abilities at the collegiate level. (Parkersburg News)
  3. West Virginia University at Parkersburg (WVU-P) will be hosting its second annual "Teen Medical Explorers" program, aiming to engage young students in healthcare. The program is open to 20 children between the ages of 13 and 17, offering them the opportunity to learn from medical professionals, gain CPR certification, handle medical equipment, and explore various medical career paths. WVU-P hopes that exposing students to healthcare options at a young age can address the workforce shortage in the field. (WTAP)
