• Parkersburg City Council readies meeting agenda (newsandsentinel.com) — Parkersburg residents can expect City Council on Tuesday night to vote on a rental inspection and registration program and funding to fix chronic flooding near City Park’s pond. Council will also consider a pay reclassification for a city staffer handling FOIA requests and choose its 2026 council president and vice president. 
• Knight arraigned on murder charge in Parkersburg shooting (newsandsentinel.com) — An 18-year-old Parkersburg resident has been arraigned on a first-degree murder charge after one of two men wounded in a south Parkersburg shooting on Belmont Road died from his injuries. The suspect, currently held at North Central Regional Jail, was arraigned in Doddridge County, and Wood County officials expect to handle upcoming preliminary and bond hearings once paperwork is processed.
