10 WI Companies Ranked Among Forbes’ ‘America’s Best Large Employers’
These Wisconsin companies made it to Forbes' latest ranking of the best large employers in America.

WISCONSIN — Workers in Wisconsin are in a position to be more choosey about where they work with the historically low 3.4 percent unemployment rates, according to Forbes, which on Wednesday released its annual list of “America’s Best Large Employers.”
The business magazine partnered with the market research firm Statista to compile the ranking, based on a survey of about 45,000 workers at companies and institutions with 5,000 or more employees.
They were asked questions such as whether they would recommend their current workplace to family or friends and were also given the chance to cite other employers they would recommend. The 500 large employers on the list are those that received the most recommendations.

The Wisconsin companies that made the top 500 are:
- Northwestern Mutual at No. 143.
- Kwik Trip/Kwik Star at No. 173.
- Kohler at No. 185.
- American Family Insurance at No. 191.
- University of Wisconsin - Madison at No. 196.
- Uline at No. 253.
- Johnson Controls at No. 259.
- And three more businesses in Wisconsin made it to the list.
