20 Safest Cities In WI In 2024: Report

WISCONSIN — There are many safe places to call home in Wisconsin, according to crime statistics analyzed by SafeWise.

SafeWise, a security product review platform, looked at FBI crime statistics for cities in Wisconsin to compile its 10th annual Safest Cities report.

Here are the 20 Safest Cities in Wisconsin for 2024, according to SafeWise:

2. Mukwonago Town
3. Mount Horeb
4. Waunakee
5. Oconomowoc
6. Kronenwetter
7. Caledonia
8. Hartland
9. Muskego
10. Port Washington
11. Holmen
12. Sheboygan Falls
13. Cedarburg
14. Plymouth
15. Burlington
16. River Falls
17. Waupun
18. De Pere
19. Oregon
20. Kaukauna

Overall, Wisconsin's violent crime rate (3.5) saw a slight rise since last year's report but remained below the nationwide rate of 4.0 incidents per 1,000 people overall, according to the study.

Meanwhile, the state's property crime rate went down year over year, from 15.3 incidents per 1,000 people to 14.4.

Wisconsin comes in lower than national crime rates for both violent and property crimes; the Badger state had the seventeenth-lowest violent crime rate and the eighth-lowest property crime rate.
