Adam Scherr (fka Braun Strowman) Coming to GLCW
After his impressive appearance at GLCW's Blizzard Brawl, Adam Scherr (Braun Strowman) returns for Release the Titan on 2/26 in Cedarburg

Great Lakes Championship Wrestling just announced Adam Scherr (formerly known as Braun Strowman in the WWE) will headline Release the Titan February 26. Scherr returns after his appearance at GLCW's Blizzard Brawl last month.
Scherr wowed the crowd with his performance in the ring and his post-match speech at Blizzard Brawl. The team of Scherr and EC3 defeated Impact Wrestling's Jake Something and Rohit. As the crowd was still applauding the impressive showing, Scherr took the mic and spoke from his heart. Scherr, who donated his pay to the to the families and victims of the Waukesha Christmas Parade (as did EC3), expressed his appreciation for the support from the crowd. He talked about the community coming together in the wake of the tragedy.
The event was originally scheduled to be Too Cool, featuring Scotty 2 Hotty, but a scheduling conflict caused Scotty to postpone his appearance. Always ready for anything, the fine folks at GLCW called the audible and are bringing in Scherr for Release the Titan.

A native of North Carolina, Scherr excelled in football, track and wrestling in high school. His father Rick is a Wisconsin native, also known as "The Crusher," for his softball slugging ability. "The Crusher" is in the USSSA Hall of Fame.
After high school, Scherr bounced around a little, competing in amateur strongman competitions and attending the NFL Scouting Combine. Ultimately, Scherr would turn to the squared circle.

In 2013, Scherr signed with the WWE and headed to the WWE Performance Center. Scherr took on the name "Braun Strowman," with the first part a nod to Milwaukee Brewers star Ryan Braun. In 2015, Strowman was introduced as the newest member of the Wyatt Family. After being drafted to the SmackDown brand in 2016, Strowman embarked on his singles career.
Scherr racked up titles and accolades quickly. He won the WWE Universal Championship, the Intercontinental Championship and the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship (twice, once each with Seth Rollins and Nicholas). He also won the Men's Money in the Bank Match in 2018, the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in 2019 and the Male Superstar of the Year Award in 2018.
The awards came outside of the WWE universe, too. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter named him the Most Improved Wrestler in 2017. Pro Wrestling Illustrated ranked him No. 6 of the top 500 singles wrestlers in the PWI 500 in 2018.
In a surprising (and highly questionable) move, the WWE released him in June 2021. Undaunted, Scherr took his skills to the independent scene, appearing at several events, including Ring of Honor's Final Battle.
On Saturday, February 26 at the Circle B Recreation Center, Scherr will once again be a part of a fun GLCW event. The doors open at 6:00 PM with a 7:30 PM bell time. Scherr will do a special pre-show meet-and-greet.
At Golden Days, a six man tag match including the Fanny Pack Party (Kal Herro and Dustin Jackson) was announced for this show. The rest of the card has yet to be announced, but it is sure to be another stacked card of great action.
