Dangerous Swimming Conditions Forecasted For Tuesday, Wednesday

Hazardous swimming conditions and waves 3 to 5 feet are expected along Lake Michigan, the National Weather Service reported.

WISCONSIN — The National Weather Service reported hazardous swimming conditions Tuesday for beaches along Lake Michigan.

Waves between 3 and 5 feet high are expected along shores in Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha counties after 7 p.m. High waves and winds will make swimming conditions dangerous until Wednesday afternoon, the service said.

People should avoid Grant Park Beach in Milwaukee, North Beach in Racine, the Wind Point Lighthouse Beach in Racine and Simmons Island Beach in Kenosha, as these areas will be the most dangerous to swim in, the service said.
