Ex-Wisconsin Prison Worker Admits To Accepting $53K In Bribes
The facilities repair worker smuggled contraband into a state maximum-security prison in exchange for bribes, prosecutors said.

MILWAUKEE — A Wisconsin man admitted in federal court on Friday to smuggling contraband into a state maximum-security prison in exchange for bribes.
William Lee Homan, 47, of Fox Lake pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit federal program bribery. He is set to be sentenced on Dec. 12 and faces a maximum penalty of five years in federal prison.
Homan's crimes took place while Homan worked as a facilities repair worker at Waupun Correctional Institution, investigators said.

According to prosecutors, Homan received approximately 125 bribe payments, totaling more than $53,000, from July 17, 2022, to Sept. 30, 2023.
Payments came from inmates, former inmates, and their associates in exchange for smuggling contraband into the prison, police said.
